Another month has passed by. Time goes so fast in these disorienting days when what used to be everyday is now rare. Anyway, I do not mean to complain. I know we are all well aware of the current challenges in this world and I do hope that this year, 2022, will bring about positive change. Oh yes, Happy New Year to you all!
I have some good news that definitely have lifted my spirits. Fun Size, a book curated by Jen Tough Gallery, is now published by Blurb and available for preview and purchase at https://www.blurb.com/b/11023285-fun-size. I am included in this book of small art with my painting, The Joy of Design LIII (https://pixels.com/featured/the-joy-of-design-l-i-i-i-helena-tiainen.html ), which is one of my small square paintings in my The Joy of Design series, with currently 67 completed paintings (https://pixels.com/profiles/helena-tiainen?tab=artworkgalleries&artworkgalleryid=411161&page=1) and more in the works. I am aiming to complete at least 100 original paintings in this project, which I will also continue to use and alter digitally to create puzzles and more. I recently purchased two 16 by 16 inch prints that I aim at cutting to create a prototype alterable puzzle. I bought two posters, just in case I make mistakes in cutting. Very recently I also learned that my painting, Learning To See, has been juried and is selected for the international Migration 2021 Exhibition and Publication.
